Challenges:
Theming the meta with the core gameplay with the right branding that would be well suited for all of Disney's IP emojis.
Opportunities:
Three concepts came out of brainstorming session.  1.
Sorcerer's Apprentice 2. Cloud Factory & 3. Party Convention.  I explored a look in feel in an unconventional way and it was decided that a Cloud Factory theme was the best fit to house the meta app.

Contribution:  Reskin/ Re-Theming the look and feel of the overall UI.  To date the product has earned $3 million world wide (reference Sensor Tower May 2022).

I was originally asked to work and be apart of the Disney Emoji Blitz team by my Art Director Vincent Perea, led by Nacia Chambers (Executive Producer), Matt Schwartz (Art Director), & Joe Cho (Game Design Manager) to help come up with a theme for Emoji Blitz.  The three main themes that came out of a brainstorm session were 1.  The Sorcerer's Apprentice  2. Cloud Factory, and 3. Party / Convention.  Above are concept art, in-game mockups with UI treatments that I worked on to help derive a  look and feel.  The bottom middle cloud concept was selected by Executive Producer Nacia Chambers and presented in an executive review meeting with Chris Heatherly, (Studio Head for Disney Interactive),  which helped facilitate our visual design direction of the final look and feel that you see in game today currently being developed by Jam City.

This was more of a visual Global UI art library that was incredibly useful to create screen mockups.  The actual art that was implemented into the Unity engine looks a lot different the way it was optimized.   All art works ©2016 Disney / Pixar and should not be do not reproduced.

At one time Disney Emoji Blitz was 8th in the top of the charts in the app store.  To date the app has over 500 million installs and $3 million earnings.
Contributed to in helping re-theme Emoji with the cloud conceit.  This concept was a major stepping stone for how the game looks and got buy off from many of the stake holders.  The clouds HUD UI was the same art with slight coloration changes.
